Transportation

Currently the automobile dominates in the Memorial Park Neighborhood. As such, parking has become problematic in areas adjacent to the NFMMC and NACC.  Additional parking facilities and the creation and enhancement of pedestrian amenities in the neighborhood will work to increase multi-modal access to the Memorial Park Neighborhood and institutions.

·        Improve pedestrian amenities and bicycle paths to encourage multi-modal access in the neighborhood. Focus immediate efforts on the Pine Avenue and Portage Road intersection

·        Create a Memorial Park Neighborhood bus stop on the Niagara Falls State Park Shuttle

·        Expand alley right-of-ways and implement parking tag programs to expand residential parking opportunities

·        Create a new structure for hospital parking and create angled parking in front of the NACC

·        Provide public parking space on the South Junior site for the NACC and park users
