The two neighborhood institutions, the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center act as community anchors. In order to foster future community development efforts, the NFMMC and the NACC need to strengthen and grow. Formulating and expanding visible physical and programmatic connections between the two institutions will help to achieve this goal.

Recommendations for the NFMMC

·        Improve campus boundaries through signage, lighting, landscaping and utility submersions

·        Create and maintain strategic partnerships with area universities and other institutions

·        Broaden public relations to include place making and branding activities

Recommendations for NACC

·        Increase public awareness through community outreach programs and other initiatives

·        Improve signage and access for the entire Niagara Falls community
