Green Space and Parks

Currently the neighborhood is lacking in sufficient park, green space and greenway connections. The continuation of the Daly Boulevard greenway and will link the neighborhood to waterfront while the creation of other greenways and parks within the Memorial Park Neighborhood will improve the quality of life and attractiveness of the area.

Recommendations

·        Design Schoellkopf Park in an effective manner to physically link the NACC and NFMMC and accommodate a variety of park users

·        Develop a linear park between Pine and Cedar Avenues

·        Create greenway connections between parks and destination buildings

·        Develop portions of the South Junior site into an active recreation park
