Bookkeeper                                                             

Individual must be very detail oriented, have excellent book-keeping skills, be able to work in a setting where multiple tasks must be performed in a limited amount of time. Salary: $11.00/hour, Mon.-Thurs. 9:00am-4:00pm.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain General Ledger, A/R, A/P and Payroll records
  • Maintain Bank Accounts and reconcile multiple bank accounts each month
  • Be familiar with grant accounting, including the need to account for revenues and expenses for differing fiscal and reporting years
Prepare weekly, monthly and annual financial reports as directed by the Director of Finance and/or the Treasurer of the Board of Directors

Qualifications:
  • AA/AS, BA/BS degree in accounting
  • Three plus years general accounting experience in medium-sized business or institutional office
  • Experience in Peachtree Accounting or similar program is highly desirable
  • Skilled in use of Excel spreadsheets for financial analysis and reporting
  • Grant accounting experience is a major plus
